This is a blog that reviews 50k Trail Races in the State of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. Reviews will consist of information about the trail itself, aid station information, and other pertinent information that trail runners are looking for. From time to time, I will also include information on other trails as I experience them. I will also include a list of 50k trail races in the four state region, as well as some equipment reviews, and nutrition information for ultra runners.

Heading to the Mountains
Well, today is my last day in Abilene this week, so I wanted to get a good workout in. I went to Redbud and it was sort of cool, but humid. The clouds came up and there was a nice breeze. I got in a good 10-mile run, and was able to stop and hydrate every 2.5 miles. That helped a lot. I just kept a smooth easy pace, and it felt good to get a few miles in. I will be traveling all day tomorrow, going to Shiprock, New Mexico, and will soon be running in the mountains. Looking forward to it all.

Hey Jerry,
When you return, I have some shoes for your trip to Africa. How can I get them to you?
Susan
HI Susan,
That's fantastic! If you want, I can get them on saturday at Redbud. I will be there for a nice long run. Thanks a bunch!
Jerry
